a question…

Question for the divorced members of my readership:

Roughly how long does it take someone to stop looking at romantic possibilites without some type of sick making rage/disgust/ and contempt?

’cause I got to tell you the truth people…after the wringer this thing has been so far….the idea of shooting myself in the gut with a soft nosed bullet and crawling on an anthill to die sounds far more appealing than a date with anybody in the world.

  1. Well having gone through a divorce, I’d say it stops once you get over your ex and move on with things. The best thing to do is to treat yourself good. Do things you like and very importantly, work out. 2 – 3 months of steady workouts and you’ll feel like a champ and the heartache should have died down enough that you can start wanting to be with other women. Some guys rush out and latch onto the first piece that comes their way and that’s almost always a mistake. Take your time and be choosy about who you date.

  2. I cannot say. Never have been married so I never have been divorced either.

I suggest, go for friendship. If and when something develops out of a firm foundation of friendship and committed respect, the chances are greater that it will endure.

Friends first, last and forever tend to make enduring lovers too.

If nothing happens to deepen the relationship, you still have not lost, because you have a friend.

    Hope this makes sense.
    Hugs.
Thanks for the chat last night.
